How It Works

VPAC Clinical is an assessment tool that was developed by Nelson M. Handal, M.D., F.A.P.A., a Board Certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist in collaboration with Harmonex Neuroscience Research.

Our Team developed this remarkable software technology with two primary goals in mind:
  1. Remotely collect as much valuable information as possible from a patient before the first visit.
  2. Use the first visit in a more personalized way, engaging with the patient with enhanced rapport.
Mental health evaluations are very time consuming and poorly reimbursed. VPAC Clinical allows clinicians to optimize time with their patients in order to improve diagnoses and treatment outcomes.
VPAC Clinical standardizes and organizes the collection of clinical data by using rule-based algorithms and question sets that include, but are not limited to, DSM-V criteria, as well as expert knowledge based on clinical research, community standards and other widely accepted protocols.

VPAC Clinical software algorithms are able to automatically manage the assessment and intake process based upon answers provided by the VPAC Clinical user.

This is a secure and innovative software product, used remotely by patients with at least an 8th grade education level, to provide standardized psychiatric clinical information from the comfort of their homes.

VPAC Clinical allows patients to choose from 26 possible chief complaints to assess for 51 possible psychiatric conditions based on the DSM-V in adults, children and adolescents. It also provides analysis of suicide and violence risk if applicable.

VPAC Clinical rapidly generates comprehensive clinical reports, in a H&P format, by gathering information directly from patients. It facilitates patients' interaction with the technology on their own time before meeting with a provider.
